Guitarist and Composer





Alex Miller is a composer and guitarist currently based in Los
Angeles.  During the spring of 2010, he will be teaching composition to Los Angeles area high school students through the American Composers Forum.  He recently taught theory and aural skills at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, composition at California Lutheran University and was a teaching assistant at the University of Southern California’s Department of Theory and Composition for three years.

His compositions have been published by VP Music Media in Italy, and performed at festivals and conferences at venues such as the Aspen Music Festival, the Universities of Nevada, Montana, Nebraska; Bennington, Bowdoin and Lake Forest Colleges; Washington and California Lutheran Universities and the San Francisco Community Music Center.

Miller is currently completing a DMA in Composition at the University of Southern California. He also holds an MM in Composition from the Eastman School of Music and BM degrees in Composition and Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder."
